Professor Brook CV

Professor Brook graduated with a dental degree from the University of Liverpool in 1978. He then went on to take up posts at hospitals in Liverpool, London (The Middlesex and St. Bartholomew´s), Truro and Aberdeen. Appointed to the University of Sheffield in 1983, he gained his MDS in 1986 and PhD in 1994.

In the clinical field Professor Brook’s interests lie in the field of oral surgery, oral medicine and pre-prosthetic surgery including intra and extra oral implantology.  He has clinical commitments in dentoalveolar and implant surgery and is involved in training at undergraduate and post graduate level in oral surgery and dental implantology, including training of Oral Surgery, Restorative and OMFS specialist registrars and General Dental Practioners studying implant care.

Professor Brook has a strong interest in maintaining standards in 2008 and 2012 he was: a member of the joint Royal College of Surgeons/Faculty of General Dental Practitioners and General Dental Council working party into implant education.
